Mathoor looks the pick over Saratoga of the two Sir Michael Stoute-trained newcomers but this may go to one of the runners with experience and, while Incidentally has an obvious chance after two fair efforts, preference is for Archiestown. The selection ran promisingly in the Wood Ditton on his debut and can be expected to improve significantly for the run as most of the stable's horses have done this term. Benandonner makes plenty of appeal on pedigree on his debut but Ed Dunlop's horses normally improve with racing so he may be best watched. Hill Spirit has claims on bits and pieces of his form and the yard's runners have tended to improve for their first outing of the season so he cannot be discounted although more solid claims are probably held by Richard Hannon's Incidentally, who has shown a decent level of form in both starts so far. Archiestown showed plenty of promise first time out though and he gets the vote.
