      Verdict

Plum Pudding has found one too good in each of his two starts this term and is given the vote to go one better here and gain a deserved success at the main expense of Luckylover and Malech. The last mentioned has claims on the pick of his form but was well held off today's mark at Redcar last time and may now need some help from the handicapper. Magical Music has been in good form on the all-weather this winter but is now 18lbs higher than on his last start on turf so may need some help from the handicapper, while Chris Corsa may do better on today's faster surface having got bogged down in the mud at Ripon last time. Captain Xaar looks potentially well treated on his debut in this grade and is another to consider along with recent Nottingham winner Luckylover. Plum Pudding has obvious claims on the evidence of recent form though and he gets the vote.
