MANZILA may be able to give weight and a beating to Angus Newz, Perfect Flight and Bastakiya amongst others. The Dandy Nicholls trained mare missed the whole of August but has run well on both runs since returning to action and looks to be returning to peak form. She should have her conditions here and can feature prominently in the finish. Angus Newz took this prize last year and should go well again despite being 5lbs higher this time around as she comes into this race at the top of her game. That remark also applies to Perfect Flight whose personal tally now stands at four following her recent hat-trick. Those successes came on soft but she's run well enough on faster ground in the past for the improvement not to be solely attributed to underfoot conditions. Bastakiya has presumably had her problems this year and meets Angus Newz on worse terms than when they clashed in July; she has a deal to prove now but is worth a market check. Cape is no back number, Masada shaped well last time and Temple Of Thebes looked useful earlier in the year and may yet be able to recapture that sort of form. Only nine may be going to post but this is an interesting and competitive race in which Manzila can land the spoils.
