WINGWALKER can justify favouritism here with Control Zone and North East Corner taken to give him most to think about. Henry Cecil's colt momentarily looked in a bit of trouble at Sandown as he was caught in a pocket off a slow pace and had a fair bit to do once Tom Queally eventually managed to switch him to the outside. However, he quickened quickly once asked and ultimately ran out an impressive winner and he's strongly fancied to make his mark at a higher level than this in due course. That said, there was also plenty to like about Control Zone's winning debut at Newbury as he effortlessly accounted for the field. It's reasonable to expect a fair amount of improvement from that performance but he lacks the big race entries that a number from his yard possess and it remains to be seen what the form is worth. The selection has the beating of Desert Phantom on a line through Rileyskeepingfaith and a bigger danger may be the Newmarket maiden winner North East Corner. The runner-up Alhaque goes in the maiden at the start of the card and North East Corner's claims will be advertised if he runs out an impressive winner. North East Corner does need to improve significantly from his debut though and the exciting Wingwalker is taken to continue his ascent.
