Some nice sorts on display here and the market will, as ever, be useful. As most of those to have raced have looked useful we'll look to them for our selection and suggest KANSAI SPIRIT with other obvious contenders including the likes of Alhaque and Roman Glory. The latter was heavily supported throughout the day at Goodwood last time out and is clearly thought capable of better; consequently, he has to be respected but this maiden appears to have more strength in depth and thus he's opposed. Above Average was an eyecatcher at Newbury while Double Rubble and Montaff also showed that they have the ability to win races. Alhaque has some big race entries for later in the year and he showed why when going close over seven furlongs here last month in a race which also featured the selection. Kansai Spirit has about six lengths to make up on the Chapple-Hyam colt so clearly has work to do but he should be priced accordingly. John Gosden has won two of the last four runnings of this maiden and Kansai Spirit may be able to improve sufficiently from debut to take a hand in the finish.
