Liberation Spirit looks to be going the right way now and was good value for his win over course and distance last month but Jeremy Noseda's colt looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved so preference is for Harald Bluetooth, who gets the vote ahead of Kalahari Gold. The last mentioned was ultimately disappointing on his handicap debut at Ascot last time but that was only his second start and Andrew Balding's stable continue in good form so he has to be considered. Brian Meehan's Nezami has yet to convince that he stays seven furlongs and of more interest may be Henry Cecil's Portodora, who is surely better than she showed in a mile handicap here last time and may do better back over this trip. The vote though goes to James Fanshawe's Harald Bluetooth who has progressed with each start so far and can race off just a 5lb higher mark than when successful at Newbury last time.
