Three year-olds have won two of the last three runnings and are well represented with Amour Propre and Rievaulx World but CHIEF EDITOR can pull rank and put the youngsters in their place. Borderlescott gained an emotional and deserved victory in the Nunthorpe when a number of today's rivals were behind and this popular sprinter has an excellent record when fresh and should go well. Rievaulx World looked in need of the run at Nottingham and paid the price for trying to match strides with Strike The Band but has a bit to prove now nonetheless. Amour Propre is an exciting prospect and very fast; his trainer has mentioned him in the same breath as Kyllachy and Airwave and he should enjoy a profitable season although any rain would be to the detriment of his chances. Dandy Man deserves a change of luck but fate always seems to conspire against him and he's opposable with his losing streak stretching back more than two years. Fat Boy could hold his own at this level with another year on his back whilst King's Apostle and Moorhouse Lad are worthy of mention but there are reasons for believing that Chief Editor can make a successful transition to Pattern company. He's got very little to find on the book in any respect and has won two of his three starts since joining this yard towards the end of last season. His Newbury success came under topweight, was a career best performance and came in the style that suggested he has plenty more to offer. There's a slight question mark about quick ground despite his win at Haydock but we're prepared to overlook that and fancy Chief Editor to make the headlines.
