Don Pele, Continent, Fyodor and Sierra Vista are a handful against the field in this ultra-competitive sprint handicap and the vote is given to Don Pele. The selection won well last time out when beating Bo Mcginty and although he has a penalty for that win, the second has since franked the form and from a good draw he is taken to defy the handicapper. Continent rates the main danger as he was a fair third behind Desert Lord last time, but all his best form is on a softer surface and for that reason he is opposed. Fyodor would have a chance on his best form but he disappointed for no apparent reason last time so can not be put forward with any confidence. Sierra Vista hails from a yard in form and looks to be on a handy mark but he has been done no favours by the draw and that will make life tough. Cape Royal ran well last time and if he gets out on terms he will be a danger to all but his track record suggests that is not likely. Of the remainder, Fullandby could go well at a price from the plum draw but for the winner we are happy to return to Don Pele who is taken to continue a fine season for Kevin Ryan.
