Top weight Millinsky was unfortunate not to win a race last term but faces no easy task on her reappearance and Rae Guest's filly is probably best passed over, with preference for Shrink who is given the vote ahead of stablemate Betty's Pride and Come Away With Me. The last mentioned has done well from limited opportunities, winning a handicap at Warwick over six furlongs when last seen in July and she has to be respected but has never raced over the minimum trip before and there has to be a doubt as to whether the daughter of Machiavellian will have the speed for five furlongs. Betty's Pride is only 5lbs higher than when scoring at Lingfield in September and has claims if fit enough, although jockey bookings suggest that Shrink is the better fancied of Michael Dods two runners. The selection also makes her first start of the season but returns on what looks to be fair mark and has the assistance of the very capable Philip Makin. A market move for Bold Bunny would be of interest, while Queen Of Night has been given a chance by the handicapper but, in a poor contest, it is Shrink who gets the vote.
