Verdict
Talarive gets the confident vote with Lord Lamb and Hugo De Perro rating the main dangers. The selection was a good second last time out behind Royal Glen. That sets the standard in the context of this race and with conditions to suit he will be hard to beat. Hugo de Perro rates the main danger as he has plenty of ability and was a fair third behind River Mist last time. If he jumps off he could easily win but that is a big if and for that reason he can not be put forward with any confidence. Lord Lamb is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks more exposed than most and for that reason he is over looked on this occasion. Of the remainder Tensile and Court Of Justice have the ability to go close but all their best form is on a much softer surface and for the winner we return to Talarive.
