Verdict

King's Bounty, Barryscourt Lad and Jaoka du Gord look the three to concentrate on in this handicap chase and the narrow vote is given to Barryscourt Lad. The selection is well weighted on his best form of a couple of seasons ago and showed sings of a revival when fourth behind Toms Prize last time he has conditions to suit and he looks the one to beat. King's Bounty rates the main danger on his latest second behind Time To Reflect but he often finds less than expected off the bridle and for that reason he is opposed. Jaoka du Gord is another with place claims on his latest second behind Toms Prize but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him on that occasion and for that reason he is over looked. Of the remainder Ashnaya won well at the course last timeout when beating Encore Cadudal. However he has a penalty for that win and he has yet to score over a tip this far. This is a trappy race and stakes should be kept to a minimum but for the winner we return to Barryscourt Lad.
