In depth

Verdict

Nothing makes really strong appeal but FOURTH OF JULY has gone well the last twice, including at this track on his penultimate start and should be in the mix again. He doesn't win very often but is down to a fair mark and is taken to reward each-way support. Zara's Universe has taken to fences well after failing to oblige over timber in 16 starts. She's 2-4 over fences and should remain competitive here despite being raised 10lb for those victories. Both wins came under testing conditions though and therefore the ground is a question mark. Gouet Des Bruyeres, Six One Nine and Check My Pulse are all of interest on return from a break and enter calculations, with preference for the latter despite his inconsistency. Brian Hughes is an interesting booking for Getaway Jewel.
