Verdict

Experience frequently proves crucial in juvenile contests and SHAYEKH can prove the point. The Kodiac colt was first past the post on his Yarmouth debut but lost the race in the stewards' room. He showed a good attitude all the same that day and can gain recompense. Marroof also posted a solid debut when two and a half lengths off the more experienced Succession at Bath and should be all the better for the run - often the case with Hannon juveniles. Havana Prince, not disgraced on either start, houses each-way claims, whilst Dark Before Dawn, a son of Dark Angel, makes most appeal of the newcomers along with Room Service.
