RIO CARNIVAL returns to the racetrack and is tentatively selected to see off Implication, Jawaaher and Mosqueras Romance. John Gosden's runner was well-held on her racecourse debut last September when beaten behind High Heeled at Kempton. This Storm Cat filly's dam was a half-sister to Oasis Dream and she is fancied to make up into a much better three-year-old. The one to beat on the form front looks to be Mosqueras Romance. Marco Botti has kept things ticking over well on the all-weather over the winter and this 52,000 Euros purchase seems to be improving with each run and she should be happy on this ground; she is the trainer's only runner on the card. Jawaaher is open to improvement, as is Implication although she might need some easing of the ground to be seen at her best. Carnival Fair and Jenny Potts make their flat debuts here after coming across from the National Hunt scene, whilst La Gifted and Full Of Love need to improve on what we have seen to date. A tricky finale but preference is for Rio Carnival.
