York Key Bar was well held in a Doncaster maiden last month but should appreciate this drop in class and Brian Ellison's gelding has to be respected over a trip that should suit more than at Town Moor but he may struggle to give weight away to SIMPLE RHYTHM, who gets the verdict ahead of Weet In Nerja. Reg Hollinshead's gelding ran better in a handicap here last time and he has every chance dropped into a claimer for the first time but remains a maiden after 11 starts so may be booked for place at best. Jamie Osborne saddles two runners and it is difficult to separate the pair Pipers Piping and Christmascametwice, who have only had two starts each, although the latter has seemingly the slightly better form. Chris Dwyer's You Avin A Laugh ran well over the minimum trip at Lingfield two starts ago but he has disappointed over six furlongs before and may not appreciate the trip at this venue. Preference then is for Nigel Tinkler's Simple Rhythm, who has slipped to an attractive mark for handicaps and, in a race of this nature, the daughter of Piccolo looks worth backing to resume winning ways.
