Waterside is best in at the weights judged by official BHA ratings but the 10-year-old has struggled of late and may be best watched in a race taken to go to PRINCE NOEL, who gets the vote with Samurai Warrior rated the best of the rest. The selection was slightly disappointing in a handicap over course and distance last time but had run well here previously when a good second in a claimer behind New Star and a reproduction of the form shown that day may well suffice. Brian Ellison's Bailieborough takes a big drop in class and has to be considered as does Eric Alston's Johnston's Baby, who is less exposed than his rivals after just six starts. Stable companion Where's Killoran ran better at Southwell last time but is not certain to appreciate the step up to a mile and of more interest may be Samurai Warrior, who returns to the flat having not taken to hurdles of late. Preference though is for Noel Wilson's Prince Noel, who is better than he showed here last time, and he looks the one to beat on earlier form here in similar company to this.
