Verdict

A small but select field for this conditions event and Vintage Premium is taken to score a deserved first win of the season, with Cape town just preferred to Mythic for the forecast spot. Richard Fahey's horse put up arguably a career-best effort when just touched off by the smart Parasol at Chester on his first start this season, and although he failed to live up to that form last time he may be able to dictate matters from the front here and could prove hard to pass. Richard Hannon's Cape Town showed he is no back number when third at Newmarket last month and can grab second place here, although Mythic is capable of running a decent race if fit for his reappearance, especially with the Fanshawe team running into form.
