Miss Jolyon has found just the one too good in each of her last two starts and the Michael Jarvis-trained filly has to be respected back in trip to 1m2f but she has rather harshly been raised another 7lbs for her recent defeat at Brighton so looks best watched and preference is for La Columbina, who is marginally preferred to Suzi's Decision. The last mentioned is less exposed than most of these after just six starts but she has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for her win at Pontefract two starts ago, having been raised 10lbs since then, and she looks best watched at present. Ed Dunlop's Ever Rigg is even less exposed having had just the two runs so far but she does not seem to be particularly well treated for her debut in a handicap. Alan McCabe's Black Dahlia is likely to struggle under the penalty for her win at Doncaster last time, while Malibu Girl was well held on her handicap debut and faces no easy task giving weight away all round. The vote then goes to La Columbina, who showed improved form at Salisbury last time and she is taken to open her account for the season today.
