Sterling Sound looked a useful recruit on her debut and can confirm that promise with victory here, while Give and Rose Cheval have frame claims. Sterling Sound was only just held by Foxtrot Alpha in a fast ground Lingfield maiden earlier in the month and her conqueror was thought good enough to have a crack at last week's Group 3 Albany Stakes, so the form looks pretty good. She has a superb pedigree being by a Dubai World Cup winner out of a Prix de Diane winner and she can outclass her rivals today. Rose Cheval was not disgraced on her Doncaster debut and should get further than this with age. Samara Valley is bred to sprint and so being tried over 7f is a bit of a concern that perhaps she hasn't been showing enough pace at home. Conversely, Give should improve for her debut and this step up from 6f, and those features can help her give the selection a bit to do. Le Grand Amour may prove best of those seeing the track for the first time, but we'll stick with Sterling Sound to outclass them.
