A trappy little affair but interesting nonetheless with some useful individuals on show. ALFATHAA is the tentative suggestion with the blinkers reapplied but official ratings give Cat Junior half a stone in hand of his opponents whilst Igor Protti made a satisfactory reappearance. Alfathaa's season hasn't gone according to plan but he has done enough on a couple of occasions to think that all may not be lost. Those performances coincided with him sporting blinkers which were left off last time when he raced too keenly. He has a bit to prove but, then again, so do most of these. Cat Junior was tailed off in the Juddmonte International and it remains to be seen whether he can recapture his early season form and Igor Protti may prove to be a bigger danger. He ran a pleasing race on his return from a lay-off at Great Leighs and could find further improvement for the fitting of a visor. It would be remiss not to mention Acclaimed and Yaddree. The former was an impressive winner on debut but the second is a serial loser and the rest were motley. Yaddree has been running really well in some competitive handicaps and fully deserves his place in the line-up; he has solid claims but the vote goes the way of Alfathaa.
