ODDSMAKER is the pick in this moderate staying race with Park's Prodigy and Classic Contours offered up as alternatives. Maurice Barnes' charge is a quirky old sort who is pretty unreliable. Those two are reasons not to be backing him but he is more than capable if in the mood and if he is granted a soft lead, he may be able to pinch the race. Park's Prodigy has ran two very solid races over 1m4f. He seems capable of showing his form under pretty much any surface. Classic Contours has been seen out over hurdles of late but he is useful enough in his grade on the flat and the handicapper finally seems to be relenting. Los Nadis looks to have lost his way over hurdles so the market is watched to see if this run is more than just a sweetener. Kyber regularly plies his trade over two miles and he has now fallen to what is effectively a plater's mark. A number of questionable characters in opposition and it could be that Oddsmaker fancies it to be a going day.
