COUNT OF ANJOU, Robinson Cruso and Faithful One look to hold the key to this race with the first named given marginal preference. All three of our shortlist hold official ratings and it is in fact Robinson Cruso who would appear best with an official mark of 84. He progressed well as a juvenile and is bred to make a better three-year-old, so with Michael Jarvis having started the season well he's going to attract a deal of support. We prefer Count Of Anjou though with Richard Hannon's runner having had a run to blow away the cobwebs already this term. That was on the turf at Newmarket but he's shown already that artificial surfaces hold no terrors, so with fitness a given and the possibility of more to come he's awarded the vote. Faithful One completes our shortlist having caught the eye on more than one occasion as a juvenile and again on her return. However, she's the most exposed of the trio and may be found easier opportunities in the future. Khajaaly must be considered with this surface likely to suit more than the soft ground he encountered last time whilst of the newcomers Zakiy would make most appeal, however it's a concern that he's fitted with a tongue tie right away. Compton Park probably hasn't reached his potential yet whilst Serious Matters needs a market check but without that guide we like the claims of Count Of Anjou.
