This doesn't look a particularly strong maiden so it may pay to side with newcomer JAMBO BIBI ahead of Phoebs, with the rest hard to assess. Richard Hannon has started the season in fine fashion, particularly with his juveniles, and this filly should have pace being a daughter of the smart Iffraaj. In truth she'll want further in time but her trainer must be confident she has the gears required for this test and we'll side with her ahead of Phoebs. The last named arguably sets the standard having finished close behind one of Hannon's in what is usually a fair maiden but the form of that contest has been let down since and it remains to be seen how worthy it proves. That said Phoebs did shape as though she'd come on for the experience and of those to have raced she sets the standard. Given that both Helen Of Troy and Russian Ice showed next to nothing on their debuts best of the rest will likely be another newcomer, quite possibly Danube Dancer. Stan Moore's filly is a half-sister to a juvenile sprint winner and may be more forward than Breedj, who hails from a yard that tend to improve their runners from first to second runs. The market should help unravel this puzzle but our inclination is to take on likely favourite Phoebs with our selection Jambo Bibi.
