In depth

Verdict

TRYSTER (NAP), who completed an all-weather five-timer early last year which included the Winter Derby at Lingfield, came here for a Group 3 on Turf last month and had no problems seeing off Haafaguinea. Although this is a step-up in grade it isn't the strongest Group 1 ever run and he can add to his growing tally of victories. Harry's Son, a Grade 1 winner in South Africa, made a fine debut here when chasing home Safety Check but didn't improve on that against the winner last week. Mike De Kock has four entries and Prayer For Relief looks the best of them though he's been slightly disappointing in his three runs at this year's Carnival. Stable Companion Ertijaal, another with a Grade 1 victory in South Africa to his credit, didn't act on the Dirt surface last time and is much better than that.
