Haafaguinea had been in such good form that he deserved a crack at Group 3 level last month and made a bold bid to make all over 1m2f. He has no problems stepping up to this trip and will take some beating. Dariyan looks a class act and has every chance of adding to his three victories, one of them in Group 2 company last May. His final run of the campaign when a close third in the Hong Kong Vase was his best to date and a place on the podium should prove within his capabilities. POSTPONED has won five times on ground ranging from good to firm to testing when landing the King George at Ascot and the Prix Foy at Longchamp. He's being prepared for a crack at the World Cup but should be somewhere near his best which looks good enough. There's much more to come from the lightly-raced Balios, who won the King Edward VII Stakes on just his third start before finding soft ground in the Great Voltiguer at York against him.
