Scrutch Mill is taken to get back to winning ways after disappointing on the flat last time. The selection was in winning form at Cartmel in May and now runs off a mark near to his very best. That said he always comes good around this time of year so he is one to stay on the right side of. Of his rivals Film Festival is most respected after winning at Sedgefield earlier in the month. The handicapper though has raised him seventeen pounds for his troubles so life from now on will be tough. Boss Imperial won over course and distance last month before settling for second place at Southwell off an eight pound higher mark and it remains to seen whether or not the handicapper has finally caught up with him.
