This is a decent turn out for this valuable prize and should be competitive but we think that Aleron has a decent chance of scooping the pot. John Quinn's experienced campaigner's last two wins over obstacles have come at this track and he's only 5lbs higher than when achieving the last of them. He's not always the easiest to catch right but clearly goes well here and a recent pipeopener on the level should have blown away any cobwebs. Little Big Horse can usually be relied upon to run well here but is vulnerable, Genghis is clearly of interest but does have his stamina to prove whilst Symbiosis is not without claims but has a little to prove in this company as well. La Grande Villez is a talented mare on her day and relatively unexposed; she'll be suited by the return to racing over a longer trip and is not without claims. John Diamond has won two of his four starts over fences and may be able to maintain his progress but he does need to take a step forwards to win in this company. Paul Webber has his string in good form and Laskari has to enter calculations following a decent effort last time whilst Tickateal has been in good form this summer. Tricky fare but we think that the experienced Aleron is poised to run a big race and he's selected.
