We're going to take a chance with Thyne Hall here although a lack of market confidence behind our selection would dent our confidence. The selection has been off the track for some time but his trainer is more than capable of producing him ready to do himself justice and has a pretty decent strike rate at this track. He only made the frame once in eleven starts for Dessie Hughes but his performances over fences weren't devoid of promise, his mark isn't prohibitive and this may not take much winning. Red Granite is the obvious starting point following a clearcut win at Southwell but that race was arguably less competitive than this and his winning margin flattered him. On the other hand, he's only 7lbs higher and relatively unexposed. Caught In Time ran out of steam at Towcester but may well benefit from the drop in trip on an easier track. That was just his second start over fences and there should be more to come. Deputy Mayor showed a little more last time and is one of a few in the race that couldn't be confidently excluded which is, in part, why we're prepared to take a chance with Thyne Hall on his return from an absence.
