In depth

Verdict

Akram ran well after a lay off at Uttoxeter last time out and is taken to get his head in front at the expense of Laureldean Meoldy and She¿s Humble. The selection ran second to Apollo Creed last time out and is now tried in first time cheek pieces to liven him up a little. That was his first run ten months so he is entitled to come on for it and although his stable are not firing on all cylinders at present he is still taken to score. Laureldean Melody has run with credit on both her outings this summer. She ran a good third behind Romping Home at Aintree before running well in behind Golden Snoopy at Wetherby last time out so she has to be on the short list. She¿s Humble is another to note after showing promise at Uttoxeter last time out. She is nothing but consistent but she does struggle to get her head in front, so for the winner we return to Akram.
