Only five turn out for this class E contest that looks a three-cornered affair between Risky Way, Atticus Finch and Occam, with Alan Bailey's, the last-named, taken to come out on top. Occam made the odds-on Cybele Eria pull out all the stops on his last start at Warwick and should appreciate the slightly longer trip here. He also receives weight from his two main rivals and should make a bold bid to add to his tally that includes a win on the level at Brighton two years ago. Risky Way has also scored on the Flat in the past, when landing a seller at Catterick, and has since added to that at the Yorkshire track when winning a class D chase two months ago. This is a grade lower so he will be expected to go close. Atticus Finch battled on well to win at Wetherby the time before last but got no further than the first at Kelso last time. if that has not affected his confidence, he too can play a part. However, it is Occam who gets the vote.
