A weak selling affair to start proceedings at the Lincolnshire venue should mainly involve the likes of Frazer's Lad, Comfortable Call and Nailbiter, with the latter the choice. Ann Duffield's charge shaped well when chasing home Turn Of Phrase in a maiden hurdle at Wetherby and has since been turned out on the Flat when contesting a mile and a half race at Newcastle. A study of his earlier form reveals that the four-year-old was also third to Gastornis at Wetherby as well, so this race should be well within his capabilities. Frazer's Lad has picked up a couple of minor events, including one here this term and has the assistance of one of the leading amateurs, Gino Carenza. His fourth to Noshinanikin gives him a leading chance as well. Comfortable Call ran third here last time and handles the track so must be considered for place purposes, but, with Liam Vickers claiming a handy five pounds, that adds to our confidence in Nailbiter.
