Raphoola is fancied to land her second prize in a week for Mark Johnston, at the expense of the consistent Baytown Shamrock and Lady Ern. Formerly with Nigel Tinkler, Raphoola was a good winner of a similar contest on Bank Holiday Monday at Chepstow, when she made all and kept on strongly for a convincing success. She looks a progressive sort and will be very hard to peg back in this grade. Baytown Shamrock is a reasonable performer at this level, but somewhat one-paced and also makes a quick reappearance having been placed behind the useful Bella Boy Zee at Leicester on Monday. She should again reach the frame, while Lady Ern has only raced at Wolverhampton so far, and was not disgraced when second in a seller there last time so is another with decent claims of reaching the frame.
