CORR POINT bumped into a good one at Beverley and can bounce back into the winners' enclosure here at the main expense of Happy Mood, Pleasant Way and the progressive Captain John Nixon. Jamie Osborne's gelding was always going to improve over middle distances this year and he followed up a Leicester reappearance win with a solid run at Beverley. He is only one pound higher today and is fancied to run well from a nice draw. The horse that beat him last time is trained by David Lanigan so any market move for his stablemate Pleasant Way would have to be taken seriously, as should Captain John Nixon who is on a vast upward curve and he was two lengths better than Pleasant Way in Yorkshire and has since won again at Brighton. Sheila's Bond is consistent and along with Red Amy she should do the fillies proud, Steely Bird ran her best race here in January and looks fairly handicapped, whilst Happy Mood seems to be getting the hang of things and is considered off a mark of 60 on her all-weather bow. Dolphin's Dream needs to find plenty for first-time blinkers, however the safer bet may be Corr Point.
