Verdict
GOLDEN PROSPECT can lead the charge for the line. Chief Exec and Vanadium would be dangerous to rule out, while Aine's Delight arrives on the back of a confidence boosting success, so cannot be easily discounted. The last named had shown little prior to winning last time out, though, so does need to prove his performance at Bath wasn't just a flash in the pan. Vanadium has paid his way with a win each year since 2005. The seven-year-old is currently on his lowest ever mark and is a prime candidate to slip under the radar. With each-way money available down to fourth place, George Baker's mount represents cracking value to make the frame. The same comments apply to Chief Exec, who found a new lease of life when partnered by Clare Lindop recently. However, he has never won on turf before so needs everything to go his way. Others to bear in mind include: Indy Driver, who is better than his form figures would have you believe but faces no easy task under top weight, while Onenightinlisbon has a habit of popping in when least expected. He can go well at attractive odds. However, Golden Prospect has a much stronger profile for win only purposes and takes the eye as the one to be with on this occasion. The five-year-old has held his form well this season and, as he is still 3lb below a previous winning mark, Golden Prospect has a solid chance of living up top his name in the finale.
