LEARO DOCHAIS is a punters choice against the likes of Formula and Golden Button. The last named represents Sir Mark Prescott and is therefore likely to be prominent in the betting. A half-sister to several winners, the four-year-old is obviously a late maturing type and, without the assistance of a reliable betting guide; it's difficult to put a measure on where she fits into the scheme of things. Still she looks the part on paper and Seb Sanders is sure to give her every chance of striking at the first time of asking. Formula, on the other hand, has finished second in 50% of his career outings and is in danger of becoming disappointing. Having struggled to stay 10 furlongs last time and flopped on his only previous try over 7f, he hardly leaps from the page as the most reliable type on show. However, this is a drop in class for him and Richard Hannon's charge may simply have found his right level in this company. Safari Guide has a BHA mark of 72, so also merits some consideration. Not for long mind, as his form is poor and he looks overrated at the present time. Therefore, it can pay to turn to Learo Dochais in the search for worthwhile option. The Michael Jarvis-trained gelding caught the eye in defeat on his handicap debut at Leicester in May - shaping encouragingly over an inadequate trip. The return to seven furlongs is expected to ideally suit and, with the ground not expected to be a problem, Learo Dochais has enough going for him to finally get off the mark here.
