Verdict

Consistency is hardly the forte of most of these and it is not too difficult to pick out the likeliest contenders for the title of 'also-rans'. The list includes Tirari, No Illusions and Dominion Prince, who are confidently passed over today. Rock 'N Cold needs to prove that he still retains his enthusiasm for the game and is another left out of the win only equation, whilst the race might come around a little quickly for Distant Sky after his moderate effort behind Lord Sam at Kempton on Saturday. Therefore a chance is taken with Gold Millennium, who should have benefited from two well spaced out runs after a long break. He has now shaken off the effects of the life-threatening bout of colic that held up his career, and can start to reward of the faith shown in him against a fairy modest bunch.
