Handicaps have proved to be a little too competitive for Al Muallim in recent times, but the framing of this race is such that he has a reasonable chance of of going closer than he has been presented with in this grade for quite some time. He acts well on the surface and will be hard to keep out of the frame in this company. However, Roy McAvoy looks to be the more solid win only option after a series of near misses since returning to all weather action at the start of November. He is adaptable with regard to his best trip, but has a decent turn of foot and the drop back to six furlongs should not be a problem today. Francport has run some good races here in the past and can scrap it out with Illusive as best of the rest.
