      Verdict

A tight race to call as only 6lb separates the top seven on the official BHB ratings and most of them are holding their form well at the moment. Madrasee has been drawn favourably and could be hard to beat if she can again utilise her speed from the gate. However, her style of running will always leave her vulnerable to a strong finisher and Connect may be able to take advantage today. Mark Tompkins' charge is 2lb better off from their meeting here earlier in the month and, although there is likely to be little between them again, he was returning from a long lay-off last time. He took well to the surface on that occasion and should have benefited greatly from the run. Long Tall Sally has strong place claims on the pick of her form. But she cannot be relied upon not to give ground at the start, so the consistent Sharp Hat may be the safer option for each way backers to get a run for their money. Taboor and Teyar are weighted to go closely but are very hard to win with.
