A very competitive way to kick-off proceedings on the Polytrack and plenty of the field come into the race with chances. Dream Magic is an interesting newcomer to the surface and is entitled to go close if he is ready for a battle after his winter break. Any support for him should be taken notice of in the betting ring. Dual course and distance winner Siena Star is also worthy of consideration after a good effort behind Eastern Breeze here just before Christmas. He races over his best trip today and is a big threat to them all. However, Atlantic Quest also has a proven track record and is taken as the selection today. He has not been seen out since finishing a close up fifth in a valuable handicap at Haydock in May, but has the typical profile of one of his stable's runners. He should have no problem coping with the 10-furlong trip and is still open to plenty of improvement. The gelding holds an entry for the Lincoln at Doncaster in March, and looks to have been found an ideal test to put his credentials on the line. Te Quiero is better suited to the surface at Wolverhampton so course specialist Loves Design may come out as best of the rest.
