GIANT SEQUOIA sets the standard here after winning last time out at Kempton, but joint top-weight New World Order and My Les are among the likely dangers. A change of yard worked wonders for the well-bred Giant Sequoia, who lost his maiden tag at the sixth time of asking. This is a very slight step up in trip and he's gone up five pounds for that success, but neither are a concern given there's not likely to be too much to beat here. My Les carries a six pounds penalty after winning at Brighton last week, but still has more than a stone in hand. He disappointed when he ran here before over this trip, and his Sussex success may have been a one-off, but a quick return to the track before going up in the weights for that 10 lengths win suggests connections believe there may be more to come off this lowly mark. Jim Best is having a decent year, and she's his only runner on the card. New World Order's two wins have come over shorter trips at Wolverhampton and more recently Kempton. A quick re-appearance under a penalty there was unsuccessful, but he's won off a higher mark previously. Preference though is for Giant Sequoia.
