Secret Desert and INTIKAMA set the standard in this moderate seller. The latter has experience of racing at this course and just gets the nod today. Extremely So and Rose Of Coma are in the right grade and can scrap it out as the best of the rest. Rose Of Coma is a dual course winner and has been consistent since she was stepped up in trip. This is her first start for a new yard but, assuming she is still on the boil after a long campaign; she is a likely candidates to give her running. Extremely So comes here on the back of a solid effort at Folkestone, where she did well to finish in fourth after being hampered at the start. That wasn't a strong race, however, and she will need to be a lot sharper today. Secret Desert represents a yard sure to be still in reverent mood after lifting the Cesarewitch at Newmarket last the weekend. This fellow is a mile below that standard, though, and, as he has looked a very tricky ride in the past; 7lb claimer Laura Pike is certainly going to earn her fee. Therefore, it can pay to take a chance with Intikama, who wears blinkers for the first time this afternoon. Mark Tompkins' filly ran well in cheeckpieces here in August and, assuming the headgear keeps her focused, its worth chancing today's step up in distance can be a rewarding experience.
