Verdict

AUTUMN BLADES is effective in this grade and can be fancied to give us a good run for the money. Stablemates Wovoka and High Curragh are old-hands in races of this nature and are capable of being on the premises, while Sampower Rose is interesting in a claimer for the first time; the ease in grade may help initiate a return to form. However, Autumn Blades has been running well in defeat of late and if he is ever going to get a mile it will come in a weak race like this. The selection would be conceding in excess of 3lb to the others if this were a handicap, so this appears to be a good bit of placement by Alan Bailey as he bids to eek-out another success from this game four-year-old.
