The winners have been returned at tasty double figure prices in the last couple of renewals of this, and it looks another open affair, with marginal preference being for DIAMOND SURPRISE ahead of Onceaponatime and Perfect Act. Diamond Surprise has been very consistent, and makes his debut for his new trainer after last being seen in February. If stripping fit, he should be involved at the business end, but one concern maybe the surface, as his previous good runs have come on the fibre sand at Southwell. Onceuponatime hasn't won since last summer, but posted his best effort for a while last time out, and has won off a much higher mark. A similar run could be more than enough. Perfect Act had been running over further until dropped back for his last couple of runs at Kempton, in which he's finished third. He's not been able to follow up his debut success though which came two years ago. It's a trappy affair, and the market may help guide us on the day, but in advance of that we'll support Diamond Surprise.
