        Verdict

        ELSIE JO is our choice whilst Fleur De Lion and Private Passion should go well again. The betting ring may well tell us fairly early on as to whether we're barking up the wrong tree with Elsie Jo but she showed a glimmer of ability in maidens (the last of which has worked out well enough) and has been allotted a fair handicap mark which she may be able to exploit. There are several other runners moving into the handicap for the first time and the market may tell us whether they're expected to benefit from the change. Abhainn and Fleur De Lion are more exposed but the former could make a bold bid from the front whilst the latter finished strongly last time and could go close with a little luck in running. Tarawa Atoll may come on for last month's run and Private Passion may have more in the locker but we'll be hoping that the market speaks in favour of Elsie Jo.
