In depth

Verdict

Little jumping experience among this field, but we'll tentatively suggest that ACORDEON could be the one to be on, and we'll select him in preference to Nono Le Sage and Mad Moose. Nicky Henderson's five year old is among those making their debut over hurdles. Twice a runner up in bumpers, he cost 150 thousand Euro a couple of years ago, and this is just his fourth outing. Nono Le Sage is another relative newcomer; a bumper winner on debut, he was then well beaten on his return seven months later. He certainly looks the pick of David Pipe's two runners, Chippewa Chief having been well beaten on debut here last month over further. Mad Moose goes hurdling too for the first time, and has shaped as if wanting a stiffer test than finding in a couple of bumpers to date. Evan Williams' runners are always worth a look at, and any support for debutant Tiger O'Toole could be worth noting. You're taking jumping ability on trust here, so it's minimum stakes, but we'll side with Acordeon.
