MARINA WALK is tentatively put forwards ahead of Saints Bay and Edith's Boy. Edith's Boy sets the standard and didn't fare too badly in a handicap last time but his sequence of placed efforts must be becoming frustrating for connections and he looks vulnerable to an improver. Saints Bay shaped well on debut but it was a shade disappointing not to see her get the better of a horse who has been beaten in sellers over course and distance. That said, the winner may have benefited from a change of scenery and the application of a visor. Marina Walk represents a yard whose newcomers usually benefit from their initial experience so it was encouraging to see her stay on well after running green in the first part of the race. The third (trained by Mick Quinn who saddles Waterloo Dock) has been allotted a mark of seventy one and converted a penalty kick next time to give the form some substance and Marina Walk wouldn't need to make extraordinary improvement to go close.
