Not a race to be dogmatic about and ILLUSIVE SPIRIT is just preferred to Zulu Moon and Spring Adventure. The selection is one of a pair entered here by in-form John Gosden, the other being Chicora, who made a nice enough debut and should come on for it. However, Illusive Spirit is the pick of Jimmy Fortune and we should take note. The gelding made a pleasing first appearance at Newmarket last month, when running green, and he should improve a fair bit for that. This trip also looks to be ideal and of course he does have to prove he handles the surface, but we will take the chance that he does so. Zulu Moon has a little more experience, and hopefully after two runs he will have also dispensed with the greenness he showed here over course and distance last time. He too can get involved. Spring Adventure is the mount of Ryan Moore and will have plenty of supporters after making the frame in both starts to date. He should get every yard of this mile and looks a potential threat. Debutant Any Given Moment is related to winners at this trip and beyond and hails from a yard going well, so he is much respected, but we will suggest Illusive Spirit for today.
