A chance is taken on NOT IN THE CLOCK landing this poor maiden ahead of Baby Dottie and Pan American. Our selection has had just the one run to date when trailing home a well beaten ninth of twelve at Kempton but with that education behind him it may just be worth chancing that this nicely bred colt can step up on that effort in what is a very winnable contest. Pan American is rated one of the best of those with more experience with an official mark of 75 and as Peter Makin's colt ran well over this trip last time he rates a serious danger to our speculative selection, as does Baby Dottie who is rated some 6lbs inferior to that one but may improve for stepping back to six furlongs today. Both horses have solid prospects but neither sets an insurmountable standard, as can be said of Bush Master who has had twelve chances without winning and should be opposed again today. Bubbly Bellini has some form behind listed-class horses if you go back to June and that accounts for his rating of 76, the best on display here. However, Alan Bailey's charge ran poorly last time and with the stable not firing on all cylinders he also looks worth opposing. A host of exposed performers on display here and they're taken on with Not In The Clock.
