Another tricky puzzle but one that might go to STARK CONTRAST ahead of Party In The Park and Red Current. Both the selections wins have come on artificial surfaces, including one off 10lbs higher here, and he ran an eye-catching race when third behind Hereford Boy last time. That was the geldings first run for over five months and whilst the form of the race is yet to be tested we'll side with the five-year-old in the hope he improves for that run. Party In The Park started favourite for a similar race last time before disappointing but may be worth a chance to prove that run all wrong here. Jim Boyle's horse is less exposed than most and should be at home over this course and distance, as should Red Current who won off 5lbs lower in the summer and has been going well enough from this mark of late to suggest she can take a hand in the finish. Fairplaytomyself has had just the five starts, improving with each of them, and so must be respected although the filly may want further than this whilst Prince Valentine is back to his last winning mark and could improve as might Rainers Girl who makes her handicap debut in a weak contest. Stakes best kept small for this one but Stark Contrast is our idea of the winner.
