Indian Blaze has taken on a new lease of life since the turn of the year, picking up three races along the way, but it looks as though the Handicapper may well have his measure now. Habitual front-runner Forty Forte could struggle to lead from his draw, while Perfidious, without a win for over two years, clearly finds it difficult to get his head in front, but he looked to turn in an improved effort when just touched off by Shami last weekend. A reproduction of that effort would make him difficult to beat and he is a tentative choice to see off his rivals. He may have most to fear from Shaman, who is only 3lbs higher than when successful here back in January. He will again be ridden by Shane Kelly, who rides this track so well. Tarawan runs off the same mark as when just touched off by Bravura last week and is another worthy of consideration
